Wow what a week. Went to the prez´s house yesterday btw, and gz....thats kinda like walking into a bit of america. Just entering the bairro it´s crazy to see homes without walls in front.
How´s America?
This week was transfers week so even though it didn´t give much
time for things to happen in the area, many things happened in the
mission. I however stayed in my area. But Elder Sequeira was transferred to Aracaju and now i´m with Elder Dunkley, yeah that's an
american, lol.
I think one of the highlights this week however was entering a an
apartment complex and knocking on the wrong door for lunch. The boy
who answered let us in and i personally thought we had arrived at the
members house and everything was fine, just assuming that i´d never met
this member somehow b4. When my comp pulled out the 1st lesson i
started to get super confused. But i decided to just go with it thinking that maybe we had sometime to kill and that this boy could be
like one of those filhos that was never baptized. however halfway
through the lesson (which went great) i decided to pull out the phone
and write a little texty text, ´´Is this lunch?´´ and as my comp passed
my the pamphlet i passed him the phone. I continued teaching and as we
made the trade again i read on the phone something to the regards of,
´´Nope i have no idea who this is´´ It was one of the most hardest
times in my life to reset laughing, but i was able to and i think it was
one of our best first lessons of the transfer, i´m excited to follow up
with the boy.
This Sunday probably marked the funniest moment of the week. We
gave a FHE in a member's house and ate the end during the pray the
mulher blessing the snack we were gunna have afterwards, just that i
totally heard amen....dang it. Unfortunately i was kinda ´´on one´´ too
at the time so´it kinda came out like a singing ´´ÁAAmêeen´´ A few ppl
couldn´t help but laugh during the prayer and everyone else about died
once the prayer finished. I felt bad but i´m also glad i can always
laugh at my self when ever there's nothing else to laugh about.
Our baptism this week was ´´of power´´. The member who help us
throughout the whole thing bore strong testimony of the importance and
the hope she has that he will someday raise his children in this church
and build a family based around the Gospel of Christ. It also worked
out that there was a baby shower that night in the church so Vitor ended
up meeting just about every one in our Relief Society and eating a bunch
of cake lol. Then no domingo, the talks where all about baptismal
convenios and receiving the Holy Ghost, (WHICh HE HAD JUST GOTTEN) it
couldn´t have been more perfect.
I´m so happy to be able to be a part of a family with such strong
bonfs having been born in the convenant and i testify that the power of
the Holy Ghost can guide direct and respond to all prayers. I bear witness of these things and pray that those of you with such questions or
doubts in your head will search for the truth and and questions to
those who have answers. The Lord is here to help, knock and it shall be
opened up to you.
