hey OH

1/14/2009
Esto Morto,
I just got done playing futebol both americano and the really one (soccer) all
day at a quad zone activity, of which i´m sure i´ll feel the effects tomorrow.
Travis and friends will be happy to know i went undefeated today in both sports,
both teams all american. Whats up! take me to the olympics.
In other news dad will be devistated to know i forgot my planner....so.... i
have nothing. Typical i can remember my week but stufying portuguese more than
ever has turned my brains into a ....uhh, what was i saying? (lol get it? i tried)
My new area continues to be awesome. We have now Baptized 7 people, bet ya
didn´t see that coming ;-) Sorry i woulda told you last week, but with such little
time i didn´t want to short out such a great experinece. All the people were
investigators from other missionaries in the past, who actually fopund us while
in the grota one day. It was excellent to have the oppotunity to go over the
lessons with them, buy them more Cevada, and bring them to church. COOLEST
THING EVER, i got to baptize the first 4, WORSEST THING EVER, i cannot pronounce
or remember four part names that are super long. I felt terrible when i had to
redo one of the little girls in the family´s baptisam. She was so scared we had
to wait till the end to do it again. Sad, i didn´t know how to tell her i was
a trained life gaurd. Entaõ they then recived the Holy Ghost the next day and
particapated in lessons for our next three basptisms all through out the
following week. It was incredible to see the light in the eyes our their 15
year old who was excellent in attending about 4 other lessons we taught that
next week. The Gospel changes life ´´what more can i say?´´ (Jacob)
Me and Duerden went on a division this week...wow. That was awesome from
so many aspects. We worked without stopping pretty much the entire day after
eating out at a faboulas Chinese place. It was remarkable to be talking to
people without hesitamnce with the same person i had been out on the streets
with just 2 months earlier, in Sao paulo, sturting and tripping over every word.
We were able to tract into 3 family´s that would let us share the message with
them some time during that week and one that even wanted us to stop by his house
and pick him up for shurch on sunday. Needless to say we were pretty tired that
night (but still made time for a quick round of ping pong)
Also This week we´ve been having our ward missionaries help us out and are now
teaching a lady who is super educated in the bible. I tihnk she found our church
on her own and came once or twice without be recognised, but we caught her this
past sunday and were able to teach her the first lesson this week (perfect cause
i´d been practicing it) I gave the first vision almost all from memory and
certainly talked about Joseph Smith with less stutring or worry than ever.
Its always conforting to when my companion doesn´t have to rerepeat what i
just said but can move on to the next subject.
Well, i´ve had many favorites in catch phrases throughout my life, there was
´´winner winner chicken dinner´´ ´´I play for keeps´´ (a reacent college
favorite) and the classic ´´Bring the Rain´´ just to list a few. Now i think
i shall end this letter with a new favorite....wait for it....

´´WIN BY 2´´ (try it out you´ll like it, just tag it on to the end of anything)

The Gospels true, it changes lives, and i feel so blessed to have been able
to have it through my life. Always remember humilidade and gratitude.

I love all of you,
E Neuberger
