Nada Esta' Na Larica

7/15/2009
So who remembers watching the DVD symbol change colors on the TV in high
school? Remember how seeing it perfectly hit the corner of the was sometimes
the biggest highlights of your day? Lol

Hopefully you all are involved in activites more interesting than that this
summer,
Here in Estância this past week I personally was able to create a mission
bike record. It all started last quarta feira when we found out that there
would be a district activity that sabado in the other branch and just about
everyone in our branch was going. Well the week past and Saturday came and we
(My comp, Me and Alisson) found ourself without rides. Well that’s not totally
true, there was one (only one) seat left in a car that hadn´t left yet but one
seat didn’t really help us. So, walking circles around the house, we all
suddenly came to the same thought at the same time…..THE BIKES! The next
thirty minutes resulted in me selling my sole to Walisson to bike with me
while me comp slightly said ´´Hey all just ride in the other car while you
two bike.´´ Well I managed to barign off my life to Walisson and the next
2 hours were spent on the pista to Itapuranga, SE. Had a blast, and think
that possibly set a world record, I also no just about everything in the
life of Walisson now, lol.
Pretty much just ate this week btw, or atleast it felt like it. With Sis.
leaving someone invited us or for dinner everynight. Then Sunday just about
in the ward met at the bustation to tell her goodbye. It was weird for me to
see someone go home, truly a first time for me to see someone I know leave
the mission.
Hmm…. I´m having trouble remembering what else happened this week… Uh we
haf-ta move homes, and that’s gunna be rough. I´m pretty sure every piece
of like furtanture (no that’s not the right word, its movies in portugues,
what do you call the classification of wardrodes, tables, nightstands and
stuff?) Anyway i´m pretty sure the set of drawers we have and such are going
to break the moment we try to move them. Sad day, but good news is tha the
new house stays a lot closer to the center.
I´m so glad the ward had a great time at Palmyra and such. Here, I found
a lot of cool things in preach my gospel that I hadn´t looked at to closely
until now, and the President has us reading the Book of Mormon faster than
ever. COnviently I read and comprehend like ten times better in portugues
so it hasn’t been to hard.
Studying, reading and thing about everyone at church sites this week, I
remember how as a kid I always had wished I could have been on of the pioneers,
cause it was woulda been so much easier than tell friends no to coffee. Ha Ha,
now with better knowledge of what they went threw and, more over, who I am,
i´m glad to live in this dispensation and have an even stronger testimony of
the faith of those early Saints. Elder Todd Christofferson, in refernce to
this, said, ´´ They further pointed out that in offering whatever sacrifice
God may require of us, we obtain the witness of the Spirit that our course
is right and pleasing to God. With that knowledge, our faith becomes unbounded,
having the assurance that God will in due time turn every affliction to our
gain. Some of you have been sustained by that faith as you have endured those
who point fingers of scorn from the “great and spacious building” and cry,
“Shame!,” and you have stood firm with Peter and the Apostles of old,
“rejoicing that [you] were counted worthy to suffer shame for [Christ’s]
name” (references to 1 Nephi 8:26–27 and Acts 5:41). No doubt the blessing
of old are as much for us as it was for them, in fact in portugues this
quote reads better as afflictions being turned into blessings. I would not
hesitate to challenge each and everyone of you to unbind your faith. You
were saved for this day, so make a difference now that you’re here. Charity
is the pure love of Cristo, share it with another. I promise you will feel
PURE AWESOME!!!

Read (Leia!) Moroní 7:42-the end,
Elder Neuberger
