Can someone send me a new bike?

6/17/2009
Copa do Mundo prelims or qualifires have started...excellent. I expect everyone
to watch the US play Brasil tomorrow for me. (and if at any point you start
getting confused, just root for Brasil, side note)

Yep...got nothing,
We did divisions with the LZs yesterday, but it was different in the fact that
everyone stayed here in the same area instead of one group going back to theres.
In my opinion i thought it was great however because it gave us a real
opportunity to spread out and ´´destroi´´ Also i was able to round up a member
for both ´´teams´´ if you will. So E Pimenta stayed close around the church and
our house with E R. Marinio while I headed to the Cidade Nova with E White and my
favorite member friend Walisson. Everything was going just find, which is never
a good sign i´ve learned. We tried to past by Dany´s house, who lives in the
very very very furthest corner of our area but she wasn´t home so we started
going up this srtaight virt hill to get on the free way and head to the other
side of the earth when I feel all my wieght give out under me and look down
to find my intire crank has broken off. Excellent...we are close to nothing.
Well laughing all the way while preforming a scooter like motion and letting
walisson pull my by the backpack we finally made it back to our baixo to fix
it. Ridiculas? lol Its something ill always remember, and even with the
wasted time we were able to crank out some pretty good lessons. i love our
LZs and member for that matter.
Cotinuing in futebol commentary, Brasil looked good against paragway though
the seem to be having trouble drawing first blood these days. Kaká doesn´t
know what the definition of a slump is and will always be on fire. However
while playing Egypt we showed some very apparent s]weaknesses in brasils defense.
Personally i just tihnk they´re all out of practice cause their not use to ever
having the ball on that side. Anyways long story short everyone started playing
lazy with a 3-1 lead and Egypt scored 2 goals within a minute to tie it up.
But thats ok cause a penalty shot by Kaká is a lock and load picnic. Sadly
havn´t seen much from Ronaldo whos been sitting out mostly for slight injury
purposes. (its good to leave with members who can update you ;-)
This week it seemed like a ton happened, but which in effect made little
time for anything to happen. Makes sense? Are district threw a huge quad
branch dance off/drama fest that everyone was invited to. Estancia won. then
we had zone conference, which was pretty routine and more about how to schedule
and other nitpicky rules than anything else. Next me and my comp got weekly
soccer started up here so we had that (of which we weren´t allowed to play....
just ref <roll your eyes>) All of these activites happened within the space of
like two days and somewhere in there we found time to teach and break district
records for lesons with members. All very great.
Nothing however was as great as our baptism saturday however. But before we
mission that, i halfta say saturday was one of the most runned days of my life.
The main goal of the day is get as many ppl to the baptism that night as
possible, unfortunatley i was some how uninformed that the world was going to
fall apart that day: Both Sister´s turned out sick (had to take lunch to them
and stuff), All returned missionarys had a special meeting thing in Aracajú,
The Branch President´s Mom Died, There was a huge wedding planed that night,
and everyone else who wasn´t involved in one of these was working....and
somewhere in there we were supose to have a batizmo. psh boa Sorte. Som how
tho, amungest all our prayers, we managed to get to and acomplish everything
and still had ppl at the baptism. I had been chosen to preform the baptism.
After preforming it and coming out of the waters with Arthur i could not stop
smiling. The day had just been crazy but the joy that instantley filled me
melting any stress away. I was so grateful to share such a great spirit and
important moment with that young man we´ve been teaching. The impórtance in
being able to exercise preisthood athourity only becomes more and more
important to me ever week. Someone always needs a blessing, there will
always be a baptism, and your strength will always be needed. My dad tells
loves to mention lift were you stand ever week and i think i would just at
to that, Be worthy to lift where you stand and do.
Sunday Sis ostergraard was asked to speak in church for the first time on
her intire mission. The theme was missionary work but as she got up to speak
she anounced that she had just suddenly felt the need to change her topic to
charity. (I love charity). As she went throughout it she hit hard on the
idea of needing to embrace others around you, no matter who they are aka never
letting someone sit alone or be left out. Somewhere in there she also mentioned
our President do Ramo and a story i had told to her the day before. You see
when his mom had died we had made it a point to pass by his house that day.
Arriving there we each embraced him tight and asked him if there was anything
we could do for him or anything he needed. He told us no he was ok and then
without missing a beat asked us if the sisters where ok and had gotten lunch
and if there was anything else he could do. we told him no and so he promptly
moved on to the next subject asking if there was anything he could to for the
baptism that night will deeply and apoligitically telling us how he prolly
couldn´t make it that night. Not once did he put himself first or even ask
for anything. Truely out of all the activities that day his had been the
most tragic, and yet his charity show through brightening evenyones day
around him. That is the true love of Christ.
I live for people like that and wish i was one. Don´t hide your light .
