WOrst Experence ever: Walking out of my house in flops today and passing
in front of a bus stop i didn´t step in gum, but some how sandwiched it in
between my foot and flop......gross. And of crouse it must have been the
biggest peice of gum i´ve ever seen. Man o man, i smushed that sucker
letting it just cover my heel just gleuing my foot to the sandal. And the
worst is that the situation lead to me leaving 5 reais in a bathroom where i
attempted to clean it off.
But all is all IT WAS AN AWESOME DAY!!!
A wise man once sad, ´´There are no bad days when skiing.´´ I believe
that applies to the mission as well, maybe even life.
O man, english is gunna be harder than normal today btw. Hung out with
my district today and we had a blast. After walking along the berst stretch
of boardwalk here my desires to live here in the future ski rocked.
And as packed as today was i can´t say it was any more packed than the rest
of the days this week. We had weddings batisms, interviews, zone conference,
and christmas parties. Aka The week FLEW!!!.
One highlight of the week, (that seems about a year ago was my comp using
a members bathroom and then walking out toi tell me the toilet woudn´t flush.
I just told him not to worry aobut it which then resulted in a quick Karma
when about ten seconds later he started talking in another worried voice to
me. Before i even listened to wat i had to say i told him ´Don´t Worry about
it´´ again, then looked over to see that wat he had wanted to say was actually
that something had bleached the intire front part of his croutch on the pants.
O man i could not stop laughing. The rest of the day was interesting.
THERE IS KUMON IN MACEIÒ, i saw it today and thought about Ali pra caramba.
Testemunhos de saída were pretty crazy. 2 of my favorites came from elder
Kartchner and elder Reis. Elder Reis talked about how before the mission he
had a calling, that was, heating the church benches., But now when he goes
back he will truely have a calling. And all the rest were pretty moving as well.
Time is Short, think about these quotes this week:
Elder Steven SNow, ´´service is to be given unselfishly, with no thought of
personal gain or reward. It is to be given as needed, not when convenient.
Opportunities to serve may not always seem obvious, as it is human nature to
worry about our own wants and needs. We must resist such tendencies and look
for opportunities to serve. When we visit with those who are suffering from
sickness, loss of loved ones, or other heartbreak, it is not enough to simply
say, “Call if there is anything I can do.” Rather, look for ways to bless
the lives of others through seemingly simple acts of service. It is better
to do even things of little consequence than to do nothing at all.´´
DAllin H Oaks, As we consider various choices, we should remember that it
is not enough that something is good. Other choices are better, and still
others are best. Even though a particular choice is more costly, its far
greater value may make it the best choice of all.
President Gordon B. Hinckley, also counseled: “You can’t do it alone. . . .
You need the help of the Lord . . . and the marvelous thing is that you
have the opportunity to pray, with the expectation that your prayers will
be heard and answered. . . . He stands ready to help.”7
President Joseph Fielding Smith, in a tender testimony many years ago,
said: “In my judgment the sacrament meeting is the most sacred, the most
holy, of all the meetings of the Church. When I reflect upon the gathering
of the Savior and his apostles on that memorable night when he introduced
the sacrament . . . my heart is filled with wonderment and my feelings are
touched. I consider that gathering one of the most solemn and wonderful
since the beginning of time.”
And a Favorite from The Music Man, Live only for tomorrow, and you will
have a lot of empty yesterdays today.
I know this work is true because i´ve seen the spirit testify so many
times. Yesterday while teachinbg a family the plan of salvation many of us
broke down to tears as we invited the famliy to be baptised and in result
told the parenst the importance of marrige for eternal families. After such
an invlving lesson the mom was qyuick to say yes we need to but then
reluctantly turn to her husb adn and told us how it would depend on him.
Bowing a humble head, he then looked up at us a from the bottom of his
heart said, Nós Vamos!
Smile, some one else has been there before!
Alma 37:6-7,
Elder Neuberger
