O Bicho Vai Pegar

7/29/2009
Question of the week here is...How much is a double Whopper with Cheese back
home? Is it 10 bucks?

And more importantly, how are you all?
Definitely the coolest thing that happened here this week was the arrival of
a 70, who gave a discourse and training this past domingo. It was pretty fun
actually cause the intire branch went by bus and i felt like a kid again going
on Youth COnference. Then the meeting its self was great. The authority hit
hard on people like Bishops and Presidents in the church should be the people
serving the most. There should never be a thought of, ´´No i´m to good for
that, or Thats´s not my job´´ Of course at the same time that does mean anyone
else can be slacking off in the creating of Zion.
So in trying to do our part my and my comp really tried to kick it in gear
this week. Our teaching pool has been dwindling off and so this Monday we hit
it as hard as week could. I think i´ve truely learned house important Mondays
are here on the mission. If you start off strong early you can coast more at
the end, giving you time to check up and tighten any loose bolts.
And where does the force to do this come from? I believe a lot of that
would start with are knowledge of the gospel which truly drives our desire to
help other strengthen their bond with Christ. Elder Dallin H. Oaks defined a
testimony this way: “A testimony of the gospel is a personal witness borne to
our souls by the Holy Ghost that certain facts of eternal significance are
true and that we know them to be true.” At another time Elder Oaks said,
“Testimony is to know and to feel, conversion is to do and to become.”
So this is why me and my comp are here, To Do and To Become!!! Taking
strength in the words of Elder Christofferson, ´´It is by the Holy Ghost in
you that others may feel the pure love of Christ and receive strength to
press forward.´´ as well as Alma 37:16 which i came to love this week.
I believe Elder Allan F packer sums it up well with, This is a great time
to be alive! The Lord needs each of us. This is our day; it is our time! From
one of our hymns, we read:
Rise up, O men [and I add women] of God!
Have done with lesser things.
Give heart and soul and mind and strength
To serve the King of Kings.´´

There is no doubt that this time is sagrado and that we must give are all.
Sometimes it just feels as though it's slipping out from under me. SO just
remember, even as a member, never lose it in talking to a friend or share the
mesage of Christ with the person sitting next to you on the bus. Be strong,
and never back down. aka PLAY FOR KEEPS

D&C 50:26,
Elder Neuberger
