This week my comp told me, ´´Ya know, i´m not sure i know what a Blue raspberry is.´´ lol, I told him ´´thats alright, i´ve never even seen one´´
Funny? Everyone Happy This Week?
Sorry bout yesterday but i got caught up in bay sitting Elder
Olson and talking him all the way back to his area. HOwever the
actually day was a blast....that is after running around the center for
an hour and a half trying to catch up to everyone. You see despite the
hours of planning throughoutt the week, me and my comp some how managed to
miss the ride everyone else to to Rio Largo. Luckily we caught up with
them in time to see the waterfall that sits up in this tiny small town
city. It was pretty cool and we had about 20 elders there. I think the
funnest part tho was the ride home on the 50cent train they have, lol
aka A BLAST!!!
Not to much happened this week. I think that´s because we were
so busy with things that the week ....dissolved. Things are certainly
picking p tho and i´m starting to lik this place more and more. Our
Ward Mission Leader, though occasionally chato, is stepping it up and
other returned missionaries in the ward make my day.
Side note: Peanut butter on the top on a brasy´s mouth is almost about as funny as sticking it to the roof of a dogs mouth.
So aside from the problems it may have, the ward is headed up
hill. And hopefully the activity we have planned for next week will
make a bang. More importantly tho would be the baptisms we have this
weekend. One is a friend of an investigator we were teaching. Guess it
wasn´t the right time for her, but her friend is excellent and very receptive. The other.....well the other is Vitor who (i dunno it just
doesn´t make sense) But he´s been going to church for like 2 months in
another ward but no one ever baptized him. Someone finally called us
and told him he lives in are ward and we started working with him and
wow....i´ve never met some one so trusting and genuine. He truly is
great.
Unfortunately no one lives anywhere close to each other at all in
this area and all the walking made me quite thirsty this week. I´m
pretty sure at one point i was about to see sponge bob run infront of me
chasing the dirty bubble, but luckily i soon after concerned my
dehydration. Plus a quick laugh with from my comp sincerely asking if
Hollywood was a state was a naturally pick me up.
Zone conference this week was a blast, as usual. However as Elder
Higginson got up to give his farewell speech my heart sunk. I was
quickly caught up in how little time i have here and how son that would
be me. It all made me really sad and i started to think of what i need
to do better now.
The finally result was quite basic; Fervent Pray, Fé, and
Paciance. In other words, Christ like attributes. As PMG says,
´´Christ´s attributes are gifts from God they come as you use your
agency righteously. Ask your heavenly Father to bless you with these
attributes; you cannot develop them without his help. With the desire
to please God recognise your weaknesses and be willing and anxious to
improve.´´ So where do you start i thought? Then i came across this
great Liahona quote, ´´This process is very complex and very simple at
the same time. Ancient and modern prophets described it with three
words: “Keep the commandments”—nothing more, nothing less.
Developing Christlike attributes in our lives is not an easy task,
especially when we move away from generalities and abstractions and
begin to deal with real life. The test comes in practicing what we
proclaim. The reality check comes when Christlike attributes need to
become visible in our lives—as husband or wife, as father or mother, as
son or daughter, in our friendships, in our employment, in our business,
and in our recreation. We can recognize our growth, as can those around
us, as we gradually increase our capacity to “act in all holiness
before [Him]” (D&C 43:9).´´ I hope all of you look for the Chirstliek attributes as you study the scriptures and thus begin to develop them.
In closing keep this quote from Elder Uchdorf in mind, ´´[In many] parts of the world, there is a spiritual vacuum of Christ’s true teachings. This vacuum must, can, and will be filled with the message of the restored gospel as our wonderful members live and proclaim this gospel with greater courage and faith.´´

I testify to you that there is no other caminho to Christ. What
we do when no one else is looking defines us and our deepest desires. I
challenge yo to focus all your desires in the direction of Christ. As
he loves us we must equally try to show our love and compassion for him.
He knows us and our weaknesses, never be afraid to ask for help but
trust in Him with all your heart and soul. Share what you know.
