Elder Clark just senting me an email regarding transfers, but i must say i
think the best part was hearing about how he´s been without water. Can you
guess how long this makes now? (In Clark´s own words): If you guessed anything
under 3 weeks your dead wrong.
....I wonder how that kid smells...
Everybody go drink a glass of water and rub it in his face!
Here in Estância things a wonderful. I´ll be staying here atleast another
six weeks but this time with Elder Pimenta. Should make for one spicy burger,
ah ha ha ha (Doc. Todd M.D. Neuberger joke)! Its funny to see Elder Olson in
Africa talk about only having 3 areas and 5 comps, and having wanted more,
well.....winner. Though to be honest i´m kinda jealous of him.
Elder Pimenta is awesome tho, coming from São Paulo and weighing in at
68kilos. He may even be cooler than my last companion and side note, he
baptized 20 people last transfer with E Olson, mainly owning it all to a
family he baptized (like parents kids cousins ants uncles, everyone, wow)
So he´ll be our new LD this transfer, and i hope by some luck maybe I´ll be
able to stay with him 2 transfers. Man i can´t even imagine, staying with a
comp two transfers.
This week was a blast. The ward had a baby shower for Dany (we baptized her
last trans) and the elders were invited. COuld be the first and last i ever
attend, butit was pretty awesome. However, better yet was being able to
baptize her cousin who lives with her that she has been preparing and we´ve
been teaching fora few weeks now. The sisters also had a baptism that night
and slowly everyone startring flowing into to the chapel. At this point its
important to note that there was to be a wedding right after the baptism so it
was important to start as soon as possible. But were was Araujo, our baptism?
Heck where was Dany? Didn´t matter we had to start. SO we start and me and
my comp are praying this intire time. At one point Dany´s brother shows up
and tells us that she had left before he had, so something must have happened
or gone wrong. Well we finish singing the hymn and giving the talk and its
time for the ordenance but still Dany hasn´t shoed up with her cousin. So
we baptise for the sisters and still nothing. At this point we halfta take
the plug out of the font because if we don´t someone hasta enter the font
again later and get all wet and the ward always yells about that. But my
comp is determined to baptise araujo still and doesn´t want to take out the
plug. I tell him to take it out, to not turn on the pump and leave the water
running (that fills the font, creating an equalibrium). We then meet in
front of the bathroom and have on of those eye to eye conversations were
nothings said, and finally deciding he better change back into his other
clothes. I walk outside on last time to check for Araujo. And miracle of
miracles there he is walking down the road with Dany. I sprint bath into
the Chapel and tell my comp to stop changing and everything goes through fine.
I´m just glad my comps faith was so strong, cause i´m not to sure it was me.
Hugo received the Sacerdocio this week, and that was awesome. He was
excited to read about all the ordenances he could now preform and his smile
was just incredible. But i think mine was even bigger as i raised my right
hand for him Sunday.
Well we´re making coke/mentos bombs with recent conversos and the sisters
today. But before i go just wanna share an excellent thought iheard this
week. ´´Sorry is of the world´´ however, repentance is an eternal concept.
So whats th difference? Repenting is to change, to attempt to never make
this same mistake again abd to better yourself. It is so critical for each
one of us to make these changes daily in our lives.
I know we came always feel the Spirit if we´re doing what is right and
have Him as our constant companion. I know without Him I feel lost and
confused that i need Him every day to help me make decisions.
I am so grateful for this work.
