E' Nageno!!!!!!!

8/2/2010
omg i just spent all to much time fallowing groen men around ust shopping all day...i want to kill myself.  Well now the time is short so lets see wat i can fit in here...

hate shoping...
FOund out last week that a family i taught in Siqueira was baptized, awesomeness.  Its so cool tó see planted seeds already come forth.  Everyone said it was quite sporotual and some even dried.  Whitehead had a bday party this past week in other news which ment cheesecake if you can believe that!...i couldn´t
iPresidente didn´t let us go on a 9 iland boat tour.....sad days
All LD LZ and treiners had  trainings from 9 to 5 this week like all week, ridicuals
AND WE GOT TO GIVE OUR LEAVING TESTIMONIES which was awesome.  I had to look away from lima everytime to avoid crying.  It interesting how its all most impossible.  Truely these past few months and years have made an incredible difference on my life.  Anyways we´ve gotta head to teach Ginildo and hos family, who (with your prayeres) will be baptised this weekend, /9he´s almost in alma in the bom).  Many  other things have been going on but i´m kinda outa time.  I guess i´ll save them for when i get home anyways, thought to be honest that hasn´even really snk in yet.  ON TO THE WEEK OF ALL OR NOTHING, BRING IT ON

........and don´t pet the sweaty things´´
-warm words of advise from a prefired comp of mine :-)

And how ya´lls be?
Here we are doing solid.  Last week i totally didn´t get a chance to tell you (cause i forgot) but omg i ran like flat out from a good 15 minutes trying to catch atrain wihich i then watch past before my eyes as a arrived on the plate form.  It was pretty aniticlamatic.  BUT mom would be super impressed with my motivation in getting everyone into the WOrlds Fair and Nations event the had here last week.  Elder olson ended up buying a pancho from peru and i bought some amazing hot coco from .......germany...i tihnk.  Anyways it was a culture BLAST!!!!
Returuning to the running subject totally ran from Colina to Farol this week, thats a totall of 50 minutes of running my boys.  And let me tell you, ...it was easy.  Best part was we ran to the blood drivewhic pres had told us to attend.  There i then had a STRAW SIZED needle stuck into me, like wow way for sure bigger than the states but thats alright because its all fora good cause right....?
ANyways today was awesomely productive as well aka played some exhausting futebol with the boys- only the best.
On a more spiritual note this week was amazing in bring families unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  First is a great lovely couple with one filha.  As we´re teaching them throughout the week i come to find out that he works with a member that lived in Antares.  And i totally rerember this memeber and i totally remember how he had being ´´preparing ´´ this man for a reference (so that it was for our area in the epoica).  Its great to see how every LDS is truely an example and thanks to the great one that this member has set this investigators confivdence is already that much hire.  The intire family was able to go to church as well :-)
Then theres another family....there awesome, thats all i got.  AND then...then there´s Luciano, who is super curioso!  And its great any question is always better than no question at all, and trust me, he has um.  The best however was as i taught the first vision and came to the end saying ´´His rapaz had the oputunity to ask personaly Jesus and Deus.´´  His jaw just dropped like a rock literally.  It was almost funny honestly.  The man was littlerally on the end of his seat and best of all was the member that we had brought who couldn´t have been more supportive or involved.  Thats the kinda member i wanna be wen i get home.  An example, a luz an idea of change to all those who are willing and wanting to seek it.
I´m so excited to see these families progress towards baptise, one this week already.  I know that none of this is through my power but through the guinadce of the Holy Ghost and will of the Senhor.  Live your life!  but in aconcordance with Heavenly Fathers Plan,

So few things to say really, but lots to do como sempre.  Now with elder oslon in Colina and we´re aboutready to tear it up. Hope my sons doing well showing his new brazy comp around :-)

E TU?!?!
My favoritist thing ever this week /9kinda/0 was my son´s two one liners.  The first being (remembering that he was sick)  ´´Man i just wanna go home....that´s what a sister would say, i just want baptise!´´ then after a thousand members telling me i couldn´t work my sick comp so hard i finally turned to him nd was like do you realize the members think i´m abusing you? Answer ´´Just tell um i´m sock from being in the pia all transfer´´  SOLID!!!!
NOw we´re gunna see if we can baptize 3 families here in Colina, one per week!  Quinta was super especial however with the baptism of Silvana and her family.  However we were a little disappointed that Emily our other baptism hand´t been able to show up do to some family problem.  As we started to sing the last hymn, who else appears other than A EMILY!!!  STOP EVERYTHING and keep singing, grabbed her clothes got her changed and smiled my face of as i watched her enter the water of baptism.  One of the most happeist moments ever.  Latter found out tha depsite tudo she had walked from her house to the church sozinha just to get baptized!!
Sunday morning i was then joking around with my comp about how missionaries here usually get rappedup into doing everything, litle did i know right before sacrament meeting i would be asked to give a 10 minute talk.  Well it all went great and as we stood to sing /9by chance) called to serve the tear quickly came.  The L.O. then destroyed in an all out talked about being bold and talking with everyone you know about the gospel.]
I hope and pray that i can always continue with this mesmo desire to help all men kind know the truthfullness of the gospel.  Never be afiard or too shy to share the most cuved did priced position on this planet.  It was meant to be shared.  I know for that reason that Christ lives and Loves us.

Meu filho, o shoot, English.  So my son, we decided, does about three things:  Eat, sleep and use the bathroom.  Thats alright tho, because he´s awesome and we´re consegindo fazer all the three coisas that i most love in the mean time: Exrecise, teach and baptize.

And how are ya´´all,
Well guess no one decided to tell me that the baptismal font hadn´t been emptied sense the last baptism and as we got everything set up Thursday and opened the doors you can only imagine the surprise to see a giant worm/millipede thingy crawling around the bottom of the font.  Luckily i´m awesome, lol, and killed it and my comp fished it out in his baptisaml clothes :-)
Everything went super smooth after that and Ana Kelly and Giullynny (Betovem a recent comveert of mine´s sister)  came out smiling more than ever.  Naturally integration went over well right after too.
Sunday then came around and Rosana was baptized after church.  That was an excellent ward builder as she asked one of the members to baptise her.  This week i look forward to Silvania´s baptize junto with her daughter as well as others.
As i continue to read the Book of Mormon i realize more and more the importance of have heart of ´´clay´´.  we must always accept the Lord´s will and not our own.  As we let him mold our heart he will construct it we will find and grow to understand the things we were mising.  Things we didn´t even realize.  He is the one who will cast our heart, making them tolerable to the potential damage the world will try to through at us.
I saw the difference in Silvania eyes yesterday as she started participating in the lesson in a different way, and told us how she tells her friends of the importance the church has gained in her life over these past few weeks.  She´s accepted there, and understands the needs for such blessings.  Café was hard to let go, but o so worth it.
Be that example that she now is.

WE HAVE A TURTLE!!!! but its huge, however when its a little bigger than the ones that use to walk (or still do) our house at home, like three times the size.  Which....makes for a little more clean up, lol.

How´s everyone else s pets?
The whole story on that is actually that we moved this week and now in our new house we share a yard with a member who has a turtle that just happens to love crawling in to our house sneakily, lol.  Its pretty great, though i don´t have a clueas to how he gets in, sneaky little devil!
Moves are never fun in Brasil, i reaffirmed that the other day.  Worse was the fact that we were a little dead after having had our ward party the night before.  However i was thankful at how well that went.  Almost all of our pesquisadores went and had a great time!!!  There was food ad dancing and activities for the younger ones.  Our single mother we took half an excellent tie with her children and the other were also able to truly mingle with the members.  I don´t think i had to worry about a single one the entire time :-) q benção
Sunday we gave the entire ward a training on the Book of Mormon.  my son blew me out of the water with his portuguese, and natually everything went really well.  I was even able to include the ward missionaries and had the m give a little part.  Trough out it all we wanted it to be clear that both the BoM and Bible are equally important, but it is the BoM that makes our church stand out.  Be from the STL, i played the arch card and showed everyone how the arch must have the key stone (science center anyone?).  Every christian church believes in the Bible but with the BoM we have a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ, a certainty of the truthfulness of Joesph Smith´s ministry and a proof that the Church is true.  Most important thought is not that we want any one to believe in our words, but we make the invitation for them to pray to know for themselves!
My testomony of al this was reafirmed as i watched the miricales of fasting accure this sunday.  to new investigators in church and the best of all being the after sacrament meeting on came up to me with a member, ´´Umm....So she´s decided she wants to be baptised, you think you could arragne that?´´

pshh you think anything would give me greater pleasure?
District meeting was then great.  I´ve never been abel to include everyone in a training as well as we were able to yesterday.  Every one was participating and soon we had it turned into an open discussion about how we can better work?  I had it established around the attributes we look to use in A Finding ppl and making contacts and B the difference between that an the attributes used in Following up with ppl th prorgess.  For me courage becomes everything always!  Enver fear for the Lord is on your side when you give your all!!!

Paintball-day this morning!!!!

How´s life back home?  Tel ya what this computer is hating my English, happens to think i´m spelling every word wrong....wait, maybe i am.....
Anyways hate to say it but i left my planner at home today and truthfully can´t think of to many things thast happened this week.  HOWEVER!!!!!  the bestest thing ever did happen, something i´d been hoping would happen for a week now.  You see with all the flooding my small cities have truly benn taken out,,,completely!!!!  Well id been hoping qwe´dd get to conference last week and president would tel us thanks for coming but i´d like you to go home and change your clothes elders so week can help out with the wreckage.
Well that's not quite the way it went down but you can only image how happy i was when Sunday i get  a call the were going to be spending all Monday at Branquinha!!!  We spent all day there cleaning just mud after mud from every corner of a school.  IT WAS CRAZY walls had falin is and just everything was ruined.  Then we hauled in food and cleaned the chairs in the river,,,,(which was a kinda schadulas for an elder)
ALSO THIS SUNDAY WAS SPECTACULAR, earlier this transfer i made a goal with the ward to increase the frequency from 60 to at least 80 by the end of july.  Well this sunday after a ruff morning of not finding to many ppl at home or awake to bring to church we finally past in our last house and were able to bring a family (mom and two kids) to church,  Then upon getting there we started to see many inactive ppl we´ve been working with.  It was incredible.  Soon after acabou i quickly went to pull the number.....

.....81!!!!!!

I am so tired but the work of the Lord must go on.  Ward activity tonight, baptist lá pra final da semana, and just power housing every day- that´s how we keep it real!!

OMG i am tired.  Nossa vc é doido!  Stayed up talkin till like 3 last night then went to play soccer from 7 until noon....i just wanna pass out, but first, i halfta tell ya about my awesome week

How about you guys are aproveiting your summer?
This week was Show de Bola as we say here.  Absultley rockin.  Lets start from were we last left off, o yeah TONS OF RAIN!!!  and tons of meeting with the ward and structurizing, e feel at some times almost oblidaged to remind my comp that he doesn´t make part of the bispado after all the meeting we attend to get things off the ground here . But i gotta admit I love it!
So getting back to the rain, it was rather hard to work occasionally through out the week, but nothing, NOTHING was harder than getting ppl to churh when we found out that it had flooded over em baixo completely and that you had to take a canoe across just to cross from one end of the anveneu to the other.  In fact church was actually canceled and those that went were combined with the othe ward.  (total of 23 members from our ward)  Well i can´t say the canoe ride wasn´t fun but the absence of investigators was a little depressing.  Zeroing in the chapel is one thing i refuse to do ever!  And that's when it happened.  A girl we[ve been teaching (nise of a member) showed up with her aunt.  I later found out that they hadn´t had money to cross by canoe (one real) and had given a walk all the way around to the middle of nowhere and back just to get to church.  She truly new the importance of her baptism that we had marked for that same day after church.  It was combined with a ward baptism (the ward didn´t actualy know that ward baptized existed, but had thought it was all mission baptisms, lol) which we´d conveniently kind of planned anyways.
So that was that, then yesterday Pres Elis was here from the area authority and gave our conf.  POWER!!! There were some points that i wish he´d amplified mais but of course then again who am i to correct him, lol.  He talked alot about how the system woks, our connection with Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit.  At one point he looked at me and ask where i was working, ´Mirante´´ and how´s mirante elder.
´´Its the best area im the mission sir´i said.  He then tirou uma onda com Beynon and asked him why he´d given me the best area.  It was pretty funny but the important part was then how he worked it into the fact that the Lord has prepared this area for me.  DC 107:108 (i think) then rang loud about leaving being lazy and getting to work.  And im all about that!!!
HOw ever my favorite part (and yes i´m a little biast) was pres Beynon.  He talked about Having a change of heart and compared it to a sail boat and how like our heart the sails must be full of something to work.  It was gorgeous and someday ill mostrar all the scriptures he gave.  I would then just add how like the spirit the wind is not something we see, but that we feel!  We must first show our faith and put up our sails believing in something we can´t see but that we feel.  And the Lord takes the rest.  We must be his hands, we must do the fizical work.  But He will always make up the difference and help us to the end.....if.....we have a true change of heart!
I love this work, wat more can i say :-)  guess i could add my son is awesome and that i played some mad soccer today (cuzamento sou eu!)

My comp has lately started to try and convince me of ridiculously futuristic items that ´´possibly exist in america.....  I´m not buying it:  3D tvs, crazy iphone apps,  4D movies...por favor Chega!

Ridiculous,
Pretty sure my life ended when i found out that missionaries are suppose to avoid watching all brasil games this month.....WHAT!!!!  to bad across the street from my house they´ve set up a TV.  And although we had a meeting yesterday during game time it got out soon enough to catch the end at the bus stop (where another TV , 3 tvs actually were set up).  Anyways yesterday was crazy but as i went to Ward Executive meeting last night i actually can say that i had a very productive day.
Friday offered a very cool experience.  Are ward had a seminary sleep ver and we were invited.  Reminded me a lot of the old days as we had class and then at dinner (or breakfast as it was at the Livingstons).  Then (as the lesson was on missionary work) the floor was opened up to us to berar testimony.  my comp actually speaks very impressively but as the time was then truned over to me it became rather emotional.  Its interesting how looking back you can see some many changes you´ve made.  I remember before the mission thinking i´d never change but truly (though  your personality may not change) your perspective on things does.  You become more goal oriented and accomplish those goals you set.  I realized that although i had a testimony of the gospel before the mission that it was here that i understood why missions are so important, and how the gospel can truly changes lives of others and not just be an impact in mine.  Our baptisms (my sons first) Thursday were a proof of this.
The tiago Sunday then took away any doubt to the fact that what we do here can make such a strong impact in others lives as he bore testimony of his baptism.  He admited to hiding from us the first time he was suppose to be baptized.  that he was scared and that many ppl were talking bad things about the church to him.  But our persistence made him think twice.  I still and always will remember that sunday he called us and told us he was waiting at the bottom to go to church with us.  That smae week was his baptism....i now see him go to seminary and attend church every week.....I love this work :-) to the point of tears.
Testimony meeting continued to be a spiritual and uplifting experience (atleast for me) as many other members then got up to speak of the difference missionaries make in the ala.  One talked about the service project, another and just hearing or testimony, and all about the strength it brings the ward.  One even went as far as saying that making our lunch was to her making lunch for Our Savoir.  I thus have made strong goals to up the frequency here before i leave, and nothing will stop me.
The Lord however never ceases to work in mysterious ways, but i could not have been happier to run into an x investigator this week from the last time i was in Mirante.   It seems like now isa really his time.  Heps moved houses, freed up his time and is going t o attended seminary (which he lives exactly 17 homes away from, super closeíssimo!).
I hope to be able to pas all that i have grown to know these past years to my son.

OMG so... forgot i was making a little herbal tea the other day as i started playing cards with Limão.  All of a sudden i was like HEY, wats burning.  Did you leave the stove on?  OH SHOOT!!! lol well he stood up and wqent to walk around his bed.  But naturally i went the Jason Bourne style putting a hand on his bed and jumping to the other side......what i didn´t know was that there was a big puddle of water on the other side......SLIPPED and landed straight on my side hip/bottom!!!!  OUCHY, lol limão laughed at me for about an hour.;.... :-( good times

Everyone else walking alright tho?
Are baptismo went great this week, HUGE ward support!!!  And i was totally gunna send pictures (imagine) mas they don´t have like..a connection here for my to uploiad them so.....that´s to bad :-(
Any who,  I`M BACK IN MIRANTE!!! After a little brake to aracaju i voltei right to were i was in mirante.  And everyone here is doing great!  Also in other news i was pregnant over the weekend i geuss, cause i had another KID :-) wahoo!!!  Spent almost all of yesterday at presidents house picking him up and listening to trainings.  I think the best part is i already have a batismo lined up for amanha, so he´s pretty much gunna get in the feild baptising, HOW GREAT IS THAT.  I hope i can pass everything i know and have learned to him in these short few weeks we have together.  Its pretty cool btw, elder Olson and Whitehead are training too (all Americans from the same group training all Americans from the same group) and so we made a pact to not tell any of them how much time we have (sound familiar?) OMG and way cool my kid is from San Antonio TX!!!! lives like ten minutes from Madison high dad!!! who´s impressed that i remember the name of my dad´s high school.  I am holding on to not tell him that soon i will take a plane to his home :-)lol  anyways his name´s E Johason and yep, (no one tell his parents cause then he may find out how much time i have!!!)
WORLD COPA THIS WEEK!!!! who´s excited......?  ME
Once again i will have picked up stake conference in my area here.  I feel like everywhere i go its always stake conference.
Anyways i thought of the coolest um like comparison this week while talking to someone about there baptism.  As we know baptism is a door which we step through in the caminho do Senhor.  Well i then was inspired to start talk about a house, and how you can only get to know a house so well from out side.  At one point or another you´ll have to walk in to truly pick up the idea and understand what its really like.  Just like this we must be baptised to better know the church.  We never know everything, even i don´t know everything much less someone investigating the church.  However once we enter through the door of baptism the holy ghost will be able to help us so incredibly much.
I know that through this work many can enter through that door on the way to receive eternal life.  I know and testify that it is the only door acceptable and capable of this blessing.  I am so grateful to have been lead in this direction always during my life and to have entered in this marvaliso work.  Now i hope to kill myself this transfer helping others understand this same thing.

My fan gave my a small cold and a sniffle......yikes that's sad, especially if i were to tell you that it was on the losest setting too....gz tô ferrado!!!!
But everyone up and running back home?
Gunna be honest running is not the word i would quite use to describe me these days, maybe broken is a little better, lol.  Nothing really new in the area, truly we´reust running behind everything from last week.  Hopefully all this will result in Baptisms tomorrow Saturday and Sunday!!! but we´ll see, gotta keep on the run for it to all work out.
Found out the Mirante finally got a bishop this week, that's AWESOME and better yet that Tiago (my recent convert) already baptised someone else and plans on baptising his sister this week, WAY COOL!!!
Anyways loved this quote i found this week, ´´Pray as if everything depended on the Lord then act as if everything depended on you´´  I not sure it gets any better than that, lol.  I know when we put our faith in the Lord all is possible, then afterwards we must always remember the importance of gratitude.  I cna´t believe the small miracles that happen everyday.  Stop and take a look around you, you may call it luck but truthfully we are all quite frankly incredibly blessed!  Reach lift and love, loving these  ppl is truly were it starts!  I know He Lives and Loves, follow in His footsteps always.

KYLE XY................Z Tonight Prime Time 6:30

.....``AH MY FLY IS OPEN´´

I dunno, it was pretty funny in my head.
Heads up the E button on this key board doesn´st always work, so we´ll see what happens.  Anyways this week was packed and yet truthfully i can only remember the aw mark baptism w had. But for appetizers i´ll quickly think of some warm up stories lik th fact that i had an investigator die this week.  Something que i truly never thought i´d witness.  I made me so sad to think that he was so close to getting baptized yet in putting it off missed his chance here on earth.  In a ways it was kinda éarth´sharing to think about
It muck more exciting news as i was walking to get a drink from the fountain sunday i heard a PPPPPPPppppsssstt! which mad me turn around just in time to see the new improved and evn unrecognizable Jonathan who was dressed in a white shirt and tie.  Seeing him pass th sacrament was almost as cool as hearing the fact that Jelma was able to help her sister and nefu get baptized this weekend as well.
Well i´m trying to keep this email quick cause i really wanna go eat açaí so lets get right to the good stuff.  This weekend was........RASI E DAILSON`S BAPTISM!!!!  hopefully you´ve somewhat be accompanying th story cause as i related it to sis beynon i realized its...well kinda long.  But after a good 4 months i was able to hp both entr into the waters of baptism.  Truly it was a team job.  I had the relief society prepare a special hymn and That discourse a little.  As Bruan then stood to bare her testimony after the ordinance the tears could not from pouring.  Rosi then got up and bore her testimony tambem.  My face turned into a faucet.  The idea of families being eternal could not have been a clear vision to me.  then came the other sid, ´´O man i only have like 3 months left to d this, have i helped as many ppl as i can? ´´  Many many other thoughts were followed by this but for final can the idea, ´´Do you think i´v taught these ppl nearly as much as they teach me and show me everyday´´.  My faith has been strengthened in this work and by thse ppl.  I have no doubt that we can increase the spirit in our homes regardless of where it is or what it is through the Book of Mormon.  As i soon realized the tears would not stop, despite how tight i hugged my comp and tried to hide i family left the room to quickly say a pray and tank our Heavenly Father for everything he has giving m.  I am fair from perfect and stay awestruck to think of all the things he does for my despite that.  I´m am so thankful for the gospel in my life and hope the zone can realize the same i hop and pray everyday.

WHAT! YEAH! OK! ...me and my comp have been imitating lil jon all week.
Everybody at home finding jeito to smile?
This week was packed and i fear this email my turn into a travel log but i can´t think of any other way to write:
(dang it i forgot my planer)  But the week started with a fun integration night followed shortly there after with zone conference which went absolutely splendidly.  The President really put fire in everyone and me and my comp had a blast teach an exemplar 3 lesson for everyone.  Throughout this entire thing we had the sudden wedding plans for Rose e Dailson.  We found out as i told you that all forums were closed and in last minute thinking i had the impulse to go to Maceió.  Well after a day of hunting the family down we fond out the baby was sick and interned at the hospital.  Freak OUT!!  So we skipped the quintafeira option prayingf that all would work out Saturday (in between conference took place)  2 o'clock Saturday morning i brush the rocks out of my eyes wake up my comp....various times and head out the door to wake up Rose e Daislon também.  Sidenote: Da Silva had called me the night before and told me that the weding document not fall for a week and they´d halfta come back up.
DIDN`T MATTER, we had one chance and one chance only.  waking them up they told us that they´d forgot a document of potential importance at a bosses house.  Didn´t matter, everyone in the car.  From there to maceió it was then 4 hours of almost undriveable fog that increased my testimony strongly of the lord´s protection.  Cheging there we met the Staff picked up a proof of residency from them and skipped in line joining some other missionaries only to find out that the baby we´d brought would give us special privileges to jump to the front of every line that day (o que benção).  Everything went great dispite a few details i´ll halfta to add another day.
we were then told to come back at 4 that night for the ceremony.  There was cake, a pastor spoke for a long time and finally the miracle happened where they received the document that day making the scary 4 h our car ride home totally worth it.  I Know This Saturday will be supper special for many ppl and many to come.
Joelmas sister should be baptized this weekend and Everton an investigator ours who read the LDM in 2 weeks brought his family to church this past week.
Then Monday Duerden came in to do divisions, after one day with him i sent him to help some other missionaries as i already had marked another division with one of my LDs.  As a team by the end of the day (as a zone i should say) we had filled out 9 baptismal forms and marked 5 or so other baptisms on top of that (FOGO MEU!!!)
Just read a part of the family email leaded over told my come that ali´s going to the Olympics and Trav is play for pepperdine....then read the rest of the email.  Seeing as how itd be to embarrassing to correct i think i´ll just play the innocent card.
Anyways as i read more and more the LDM i realize that diligence could not be more important or nessicary in our lives.  This week i also got caught up in the realization of preordination.  Many are called but few are chosen.  The Lord has given each of us special talents in relation to the building of his kingdom.  We cannot bear to let these things slide.  I know through many ways we can help other come to the knowledge of the gospel and from there....vx  who knows what they'll then do with the gifts they´ve been given or how the gospel will then spread through their family.  I wish i could share through words the joy i felt seeing the eyes of the newlyweds this past week.  The Gospel in lights souls minds and realizes dreams of eternal families.

Not being able to sleep past ás 6:20 is driving me nuts, p-days aren´t even special anymore.

Everyone keepin´up on sleep there?  Aqui tá osso!
This week was packed, over packed and then some.  Sadly it was one of those weeks were it was so packed that i hardly even remember what happened.  I remember being in Maceió at one point, seeing the powerful E Soures at another and driving all my energy into a training yesterday for final.  (Which was a blast by the way, we took it team style through down some chants and then brought the fire extinguisher in to the room ´´in case any one ´caught´fire during the training from tanto excitment (fogo!)´´)  IT WAS AWSOME!
At some point this week we met the coolest most lad back man as well EdiCarlos! Looking for another house (naturally)  we starting talking to him and he let us in.  As i fished to see if he was married i asked him if in all his times to church he´d ever been married.  Almost apologizing he told me , ´´No only in the government forum´´  aka legally.  One tear drop of joy.  I know the Spirit leads and guides when we give ear to his whispers.
Speaking of which i love this quote by E Scott, ´´I am convinced that there doesn´t excist a formula or technique simple that immediately permits you to dominate the ability to be oriented by the spirit.  Our heavenly father waits for us to learn to obtain this help divine by the exercising of our faith in Him and em His Holy Son, Jesus Cristo...They know that this growth personally is essential and will come as we learn to be guided pelo spirit´´
As much as i can teach missionary techniques and ideas nothing will rolar until they can fend off things of the world and be guided by the Spirit.
I have realized that how much time i have left in not what matters.  In fact it´s much more simple than that truly.  What matters isn´t a quantity or number, but more over that fact that time IS still left is a blessing and comfort.  The privileged to be here fighting the good fight is what puts a smile on my face every day.  It is wat has become a lifestyle.  I know that everyday we must give are all; não if, ands or buts.  Remember to always pray for the Lord of God hears your prayers.  I testify everyday, and would never miss an opportunity to tell you, that answers come, maybe when you less expect it or in the form you least wanted.  but if you pay attention- come.
I love you and thank you always for your support.

So you´lkl never guess what i burned my foot with today...
...unless you guess a hot orange peel, then you´d be correct, lol.  O man good times.

But everyone doin´good?
This week was naturally loaded, and worse was the fact that things even happened de madrugada which eliminated all possible sleeping opportunities :-(  Good news however is that i finally have an actual comp who should be with now for the next 6 week (KNOCK ON WOOD).  His names E Lima, or giant Lemon as we call hm (Limão).  The guy 2 transfers ago actually made part of my zone, setting out in the interior.  He had gotten transferred to Maceió however and truthfully i thought i´d never see him again (sad because i always thought he was awesome, a super hard worker, and ridiculously funny).  Next thing you know he´s my comp.  Só alegria.
Last p-day after emailing you all i was made aware of a death in a our ward that happened during a quorum activity on the beach.  Everyone took it pretty hard and i made sure to pass by the family's house a few time taking Wirthlin´s ´´Sunday will come´´ talk.  Its a blessing to know that this life is only a preparation for the one to come (Alma 34).  Speaking of which Joelma had a crazy dream this week of her dad asking for water to clean him self (the dreams actually a little more complex than that) but getting down to it the ward will be going to the temple this June.......Baptisms for the dead?  Both us and the L.O. have made strong efforts and i hope we find a way to get her there.
While we´re on the subject Bruna (our most helpful member friend) has been set on finding us a family to teach in her free time.  This week she built up the courage to talk to her neighbors (she just moved houses) turns out the neighbors are membros inactivos and the women had had a dream the previous night before of Bruna coming over that next day offering them a Book of Mormon.  To increase the ´´Coincidences,´´  me and Farmer happened to show up about 20 minutes later while everyone was still sitting in the house and where able to throw down a message.  It was great to then see them at church this sunday ;-)
Of course then there was the most stressful part of my week- BAPTISMS!!!  Until a baptism service starts you can bet i´m stressed all the way up until that moment, and this past Saturday was no exception.  My LD couldn´t seem to make it on time to anything, so my LO was calling me and calling me asking when the interviews would take place because Marlu was already waiting in the chapel.  In the meantime i was running around with my head cut off to Jonathans house just to get there and find every light turned on as if it had been abandoned for years.  Looked at Farmer and said, ´´Now we´re gunna ´´walk´´ faster thatn you ever have in your life´´  In the caminho rushing to the capel i get a phone call (the phone had been ringing all day) finally some good new, my LD had finally gotten to the chapel and brilliantly had called to make sure he could start the interviews- OF COURSE!  Then he quickly mentioned that a rapaz was there to be baptized and my stress was hugely relieved.  Not only had Jonathan gone on his own but he´s brought both his grandparents who were full of quitiones.  IT was great, plus some other members had brought a few investigators.  Although baptisms can sometimes be crazy up until the take off they sure are the most uplifting moments on the mission.
Well that about sums it up.  These past weeks i have been mentally comparing myself to Néfi thinking, ´´MAN, I am afull of the Spirit of God, insomuch that my frame has bno strength.´´  But this week in my scripture study i was humbily corrected learning that Heavenly Father, ´´will lift up an aensign to the bnations from far, and will hiss unto them from the cend of the earth; and behold, they shall dcome with speed swiftly; none shall be weary nor stumble among them.  None shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broke´´  I quickly decided that being tired was far from an excuse because God´s servants don´t rest (i also took the opportunity to shine my shoes ;-).

I love all of you, never lose a moment to strengthen you talents that you have.

. . . five comps latter everything is about back to normal . . . actually, nothing was every wrong...lol

But Anywhos,
This week has been EXCELLENT!!!  Thursday as we walked out of lunch a little late i looked at da silva and said something to the affect of, ´´Bet Pres calls now´´  sure enough as i finished the sentence the phone rang, and although da silva thought i was kidding answering the phone ´´Hey President´´ he soon realized the truth of the matter as i started talking English.  Soon president made me hand the phone to da silve and called him as the new Secretary.  Then i stayed in a threesome for 2 days then i had to make some emergency transfers in the zone which put me in another threesome and then finally after talking to pres on and off for 3 days i got him to send me the one and only E Farmer!!! who i love.  Things have gotten back on track and our baptisms for this week are solid (but continue to pray for Marlu and Jonathon).  This past Zone Conference president told us how he had been put in anm emergence trasfer for a week with his favorite mission friend on his mission and they had baptized a family.  Now our goal is no less than one family this week!
Many other miracles happened through out the week.  Its interesting how through out the week investigators can have some many questions and all of which answered Domingo.  A man we´re working with called Moyses told us he wasn´t really feeling like doing to church this week after overloading us with questions throughout the week.  Think about my joy as i walked into quorum meeting just to see him sitting there normal.  Every question was answered through out the rest of the meeting, i thought it was so incredible but new it was far from just a coincidence.
Rose started marking all her favorite scriptures in the LDM this week and joys in sharing them with us every time we pas by.  It makes me so incredibly happy.
Within to seconds of walking into the church this Saturday E Farmer was asked to talk in church the next day, i think that's just like a thing in our ala.
But the bestest bestest moment ever this week was in the threesome as we stopped by Jonathon´s house to ask him how he was praying and such.  E McKnight then asked, ´´and so you know the book is true then?´´
...Jonathon slowly looked up from the desk and looked us stright in the eyes, ´´Não.... I have totally certainty, that it is a book of God´´
In lagarto yesterday sitting in on their district meeting i loved the points that elder Peck made about staying Powerful (see Alma 18:34-5) and always bearing testimony (Alma 4:19).  However my favorite was this quote i found,
´´Any excuse for not obtaining results, no matter how valid it may be, weakens the character of a man´´  -President Kimball.  I love every quote from him.  And an excited to continue destroying this week with Elder Farmer

It´s easy to figure out that you´ve walked into the wrong bathroom when you see sister beynon standing at the sink........oops

lol, WAT UP STL/SLC/TX and others!!!
COOL things happened this week folks, coolissmo thinginhos!  Pretty busy week too, but that's usually how they come and go.  so hmm lets see what i can remember.  O first of all my comp dreamed of my being a secret agent, which i took quick as both prophecy and revelation.
Anyways in other new the rainy season started with a bing bam willa wonga wupo this week.  I don´t think i've ever seen walked through or nearly drowned in bigger puddles in my life.  The thing is i´ve seen this much rain but where we´re from it has somewhere to go. However, here at sea level everything backs up and water starts pouring out of the sewer pipes and truly truly i could have taken a jet ski around town if i´d wanted to this weekend.  Not to mention our house in is renovation and it rained to much that ever the concrete started dripping from where they had put it on the wall.  Needless to say i spent three days wih pools in my shoes!
Answering a phone call from Alagos the other day i figured it was the assistants saying, ´´BATIZA!!! BICHO!!!´´  threw me a little bit when the presidents voice came out from the other side laughing ´´Batiza Elder Neuberger, como voce vai´´   o man....ya do what ya do.
Within all this madness we had zone conference interviews baptisms baptismal interviews and Ward Mission leadership training with bishops........AHHH!!!! then president calls us Sunday and goes, ´´Hey were are you guys? and your zone....?´´   WHAT!!!  sorry prez i have no idea what your talking about.  ´´Elder for a month we have panned to visit every inactive member in Grajeru as a zone in a blits thingy tonight´´.......burned.  Luckily it was proved that STAFF had never told anyone except the president and the stake president so we got off clean but....i won´t lie my heart certainly stopped.
Then there were the powerful parts of the week.  Te moments that shot your heart to your throat from the spirit.  I think one of those moments would definitely half to have been during the assistants' training where they were talking about baptizing families and the importance of find teaching challenging...or something like that.  Everything blurr3ed together as they started sharing scriptures jointly with pictures of family baptisms on the mission.  Then they paused found my son in the crowd and called him up to the front.  As Dunkleys walked up to the pulpit i had a pretty clear vision of what was about to happen.  The next slide flipped and the Ass. had him read the DC scripture in that perfect port i taught him then threw up a picture of Cristina and her families baptism.  BAM!!!  ´´Elder Dunkley who is this family´´ This is a family that we found threw faith, proof of the importance of faith and hard work.  They then pointed to me and had me tell the story more clearly.  Super powerful moment, maybe for me more than others but testimony building moments always come in every shape and size and not taking advantage of them is crazy.
Then there was Lâni´s baptisms Saturday night that went of perfectly.  The bishop rapping it up at the end (poor guy) could not get her name right despite having it blatantly written on his hand....sorry but, Hilarious.
Then yesterday there was Gildomar´s family and casaul that were teaching were only he isn´t a member.  The wife took a moment to tell us (after not having helped us much in previous weeks) how Sunday after a week full of problems and such things she buckled down and made sure to pay her tithing.  After that Gildomar had been able to solve his work problem and their finaces went back to normal (that story was alot better in port)
I know this gospel changes lives and IT IS NOT BY WAT WE TEACH. true we have many tools in helping us bring the gospel in to the lives of others but sometimes elders get caught up in TEACHING! We are not here to teach, truthfully in a perfect setting we´re not even here to search and find but to BAPTIZE.  The key to this?  The Spirit, i cannot tel my Elderes enough that no teaching will help you without the spirit. NEVER should they mark a day to ´Challenge someone´´  But the moment they arranjar the spirit that is the moment to invite, it may be in the contact in the street or that nigt in the persons house, regardless we can not wait, this is not our time.  Without inviting ppl to change their lives they will never change.  I read some where this week, ´When a person is ready to be invited it is no longer and invitation.´Get it?  at that point it just a confirmation.  Use the Spirit use the Spirit use the Spirit.  Be bold, Challenge, Convert (by the Spirit) and Baptism. Once the Spirit has testified and spoke to the soul the ppl will trust in your words and the rest can be taught in 10 minutes.  Our Lord and God created the earth and it´s inhabitants within 7 days, imagine what we can do within 2 years. CORAGEM E FORÇA ELDERES!
sigh...there's more but we´ll leave it at that, in the name of our Savior Jesus the Christ Amen

Well...........found a mouse in the house this week.  Holy cow those boogers are fast!

Hopefully your homes are rodent free,
CONFERENCE was great.  We got to see all the sessions but sadly our investigators had a harder time, seeing as how the building was a little far away, being in the stake center.  However we still have a baptism marked for this week that i´m pretty excited for.  A lady that has been taught before by the elders however never was baptized.  Last transfer we met her very randomly and...i dunno it just took.  There were obstacles, really just miracles.  The only problem we had to jump was the natural coffee habit. Só Lazer!
As much as i did love conference i will say this; sometimes it makes me sad how repetitive general authorities halfta be for us to get the message.  A few talks could have been copied directly from last conference.  I know as soon as the saints start perfecting themselves a little more that greater things will be revealed.  But for now here´s how i see things:

B  F       Always--> Listen to your parents/teach your kids, and make this a habit
U  A
I   I                    Daily-->Pray, keep the commandments, read the book of mormon
L   T
D  H                            As Much as Possible--> Search knowledge, fufill callings to the maximum and GO TO THE TEMPLE
S                +____________________________________________________________________________________________

More Revelation within your life, EVERY MOMENT constantly
                                                               =
                                                         Eternal Life

Never stop teaching your kids, everything starts at home.
Yesterday in the street my comp was talking about how amazing it is that through division trainings and interviews we still manage to teach and find just about as many people or more as other duplas.  I decided to speak my mind and looked at him saying´´ I just can´t understand people who waste time out here, ow could you sit around´´ (or something like that).  He looked back and swiftly replied, ´´And they don´t understand you and this desire you have.´´  My biggest goal for the week is now to pass this vision to the rest of the zone this zone conference.  I want everyone to know the depth and importance of their calling.  I could not be more passionate about something.
Truthfully this is the work of the Lord and we have no time to waste.  I love these people and want them to have just as many blessings as i am able to have.  Search study and pray.....you know the rest.

OMG i am so tired this week.  It felt like my eyeballs were sucking my eyelids shut a few times this week when i hit the cama this week.....morto.

But hopefully you guys are a little more vivo,
This week we were up in Maceió for conselho.  Everyone had a part in it and all the LZ´s gave a short training, however the best part came from President´s firm desire to motivate everyone to baptism.  It was excellent to have the Assisstents with us here these past few days to destroy our area dividindo.  Yesterday we gave a training to our zone...power.  ´´Elder´s 7:11 your purpose is to find those who are ready to be baptism, the campo is ready for the harvest.´´  This transfer we have only cinco semanas, its a race to the end and i don´t want any of my elders leave what they could do know for the ultimate hour!
Saturday took us to lagarto to do interviews.  12 hours of just traveling and it wasn´t even Sunday yet....  But Sunday started the holy week and count down to conference!!!  It will be hard to take people to conference but as my comp is saying, everyone who goes there will go to agua!
I think one of the only things that kept me semi alive this week was tie dying.  Me and my comp found a little time one night to practice cause we´re going to tye die the zone´s t shirts.  I got really into it and tie dyed everything até my shoes!
That about sums up the week.  I hope all of you are reflecting upon the importance of Christ this week.  I was getting a little head of myself this morning and couldn´pt help but read 3 Néfi 11.  Truly Jesus was the Christ.  about 2000 years ago He died for us and made it possible for us to return to our Heavenly Father.  He lived again.  I´m so thankful for a church that focuses on His return.  As The Savior says, ´´I am the way´´.  Follow the path He felt us with all your heart and mind.  Never let a moment pass you by.  And this Sunday pay special attention to the Spirit you´ll feel in conference and don´t miss a minute of it.  :-D

I just got done winning war....again, somethings never change.  Chamam-me de Rei, psh, não sei porque.

How's everyone's Festas,
Well this week went by fast and it almost seems like nothing happened because the baptism of Joelma´s family drowns almost most everything else out.  It was one of those weeks however where Murphy´s law went all to far out of it´s way just to prove itself right.  Anything that could have gone wrong tried its hardest to, but luckily after calls to pres and doing our best, naturally, The Lord came through for us and the service was gorgeous.  Attendance at baptisms in this ward is incredible.  The next day at church the bishop asked if he could ask members to exercise their priesthood by making the confirmations, we of course said yes- that in fact we would be obliged to see such a thing.  Tears came when after many powerful blessings had been given, one of the members was por ultimo inspired to bless Washington to serve a full time mission.
My felicidade continued Monday when neither i nor my comp were transferred.  Seems ever 6 in 6 month i mange to stay with a comp.  The confirmation of such a decision by the pres could not have touched me stronger than it did.  I truly know we have a lot of work to realize here ainda and that many things are possible- especially with what we already have lined up.
Speaking of which, Dialson and Rose showed incredible steps this week after losing a little confidence.  Many ppl thought that he was just taking advantage of the church´s charity, regardless of her interest.  However this week he came to a member asking if he could give back 50 reais and further more wanted to establish a bank account to truly start progressing.  Such strides are breath taking if you could have seen the true zero they started from.  The blessings of their potential marriage are starting to come together as well the i would contiueto ask for your prayers.  neither one has an identity our papers and Rose was born in Bahia (a little further than the day trips pres promits)  However i know everything is possible.
As a zone this past transfer we finished in second place for the mission by just one baptism (Duerden´s Zone) which is amazing for Aracaju and especially for Aracaju Sul.  I sought out to personally call each of our elders yesterday and thank them for their efforts and forces as well as tell them that now is the time to put in their al more than ever.  Our goal is to take the lead this transfer and more importantly take it by helping familys, familys become eternal through Christ´s gospel.  There is not time to slack no time to have fear.  Talk to everyone, invite everyone, show the best and do your best for everyone!
Hope everyone is going great at hope and always progressing in the sight of God.  I feel that it is every more increasingly important to let you now how i know with out a shadow of a doubt that this gospel is true.  Certainly there are levels of knowledge, you can only know so much without the Holy Ghost and then only so much until you go to the temple, then marrig and so one.  But we must always try to reach the tops of our levels to reach others or if possible jump to those other levels asap.  I now Heavenly Father loves us and wants to bless us.  In no way is He a God of confusion or doubt.  Ask- He answers.

I love All Of You,
E Neuberger

This week i perfected my baleis (whale language) lol omg it is awesome, and i love finding nemo :-)

How´s everyone else?
This week had a lot of wonderful laughs (Happy holidays btw, today is st Patrick's day, Sergipe´s birthday, and the organization day of the Relief Society).  One of my favorites was when i had the Staff call my comp and falsely told him that he´d be the new secretary.  This entire transfer we´ve been teasing him about it  because it´s the last thing he ever wanted.  Well after crying on the grow for 25 minutes i told him we were just kidding and he immediately perked up.  Then while trying to buy fans at the stiore the other day i took my turn in crying when we found out the store was out of fans.  I sat myself down on a crate and began fake crying out loud, lol, my comp got so embarrassed that he started walking away, lol it was AWESOME.
This week Joelma´s family will be baptized after going to church and a great integration last week.  Tonight she´s going to the RS party and asked, ´´Do i need to bring anything?  A cake, refre?´´  That family is so great and reading the BoM like crazy.  This Sunday we brought three family´s to church btw, it was excellent.
Anyways as i thought about all the other special moments of the week i realized the church only has about 50 years here in brasil but maybe that´s wy everyone is still so excited aobut the gospel and the missionary work we´re doing.  Every time i bring people to church some many people sit with them that it never even leaves space on the bench for me.
Truly Our salvation is not simple and there aren´t few things that we need to do but many.  Many mesmo.  However i know none of these commandments are impossible or out of our range.  Anyway my minds spinning out of control in three million directions so i´d better go.

My area is incredible
My comp is great, i could never ask for another
....and.....
There has never been less doubt than than now that the pure love of Christ is charity and that such happiness can only come from giving.

How´s everyone´s week been?
This was one more week that flew buy!  I´d say that main even of the week was Gladston´s baptism but that was also only merely the start.  While we were waiting for him to get there and putting everything together we had a member come up and talk to me telling me he had a contact for us to make no the street.  So we went out just to meet some ppl he´d talked to waiting on the bus stop.  Soon after Gladston got there and his baptism went off without a hitch.  At the end we had him bear his testimony, something i´ve never seen done nor my comp.  But we put him to the test and it was incredible. He stud up in the french and started talking about the gospel and ow it's like amor.  How its easy to say i love you, almost to easy.  Just like many church naturally claim to be true. But when someone really loves you its something you feel deep down, something shown threw actions and felt almost without even being said.  And that is what had happened in his life as he´d come to know the feeling of the Holy Ghost.
We were so satisfied with that that domingo i don´t think we were expecting any more milagres, but you should never doubt tool so powerful as fasting.  Greeting ppl at the door who else should appear but that little family we´d talked to the night before, abvouisly dressed in the best they could find with they´re kids in hand.  It put a gaint smile on my face and they loived the church, and we naturally marked to find their house the next day.
Well lets not forget about Joelmá family as well whop´s son Joelmir has been crucially involved with the church lately.  Teachinga  lesson there the othe day i read a scripture, asked them what they understood and then sat there and watch as they began to give te rest of te lesson just in there response.  Joemla even started giving BoM examples of Nefí and then went on a bear her testimony in the way of telling and experience she always had in São Paulo.  When she lived there she always used to pass in front of the temple and think to her self, i think one day i´ll visit this church.  Well that chance has now become a reality.  She holding on incredibly strong even after 4 straight days of strong head aches due to lack of coffee, lol can´t help but laugh.
So after this lesson it was back to the house of this tiny humble family, who we found living in an abandoned garage (i guess that would be the best way to describe it)  They live their pretty much on a luck because if son one higher up like the owner find out they´ll be on the street.  But going ba lets remember that pretty much all the work we´ve been doing lately has been with members by our side.  Well as we got to that lesson or even before that it was incredible to see how all the members we work with start to pull things together for this family.  Its now been three days and these members who know our investigators so well have even got those investigators with funds to help out this family.  Its like an incredible network of Christ like Charity.  Investigators are cutting their children's hair others are giving them baths and yet others donating food or clothing or toys.  And then there´s me who finds half this out just by a member showing all the quick video of the service she´d taken on her phone.  Anyways the mom of this family (who i didn´t even know read) reads every pamphlet we give her from cover to cover and i´m psyched to give them a BoM tmorow.
Would you believe it if i told you i had yet one other blessing in week?  Cause i did as E Duerden called me from Maceió the other day with good and bad news that my recent convert family hadn´t been to church the other week but after visiting them and taking away doubts they began to remember that spirit thats so important.  He said its incredible how elect you can tell someone is when interuptions try to keep you from giving a lesson.  He went on to talk to them about how yes, the bible doesn´[t directly skeap Joesph Smiths name, but nor doesn´t the bible ever say the name Jesus Christ directly.  Why?  Because we believe in the great gift of revelation, we have been given the ability to be directed and feel the holy spirit.  OUr direction our faith and our testimony must and should most definitely be founded on this.  At the end of the lesson everyone was in tears and Duerden naturally took a picture.  Later that day i called that family with Dunkley from the pres´s phone and bore my own testimony.  i love them
Well now its off to integration night

I love you all,

Man o man, my comp is like a mini replica of my dad (actually they arer prolly the same size).  The resemblances are incredible; they both like running, served missions in brasil, are very hairy (my comp plans to get laser hair removal), speak Portuguese, are or will be surgeons, have that funny odd sense of educated humor and at some point will both like without any hair on their head.  Its incredible!!! and make my day- I LOVE YOU DAD*

Everyone tell your dad you love them.
We hiked the Serra in Itabiana today (Again).  I was first to make it to the top....no big deal.  Unfortunately we´re in like the driest part of the year so.....there was like zero waterfall. o well
Investigators are moving along with great progress.  Sunday as a member went to bring our family to church they met the first counselor on the way and got him to take the family by car.  Then arriving their we noticed that our family of two had grown a little bit as another on of their sons had been able to come- one we´d never even met before.  It was truly a blessing an all of them have been on the edge of there seats taking the lessons.  Monday Joelmer asked how he could joined/enter in the church (it was the first time we´d been able to actually teach him)  and the date was soon marked for the 20th.  Naturally Joelma the mom is a coffee addict but then again who's not?
Gladston will se batisa this week, and we´re all super excited for that.  The only investigators i´m worried about our a set of 19year old who have pretty much become imprisoned in their apartment were their roommates don´t let them read the BoM or go to church, but....they´ve been reading in secret (shhh! don´t tell) so i have faith
In a stake counselor talk this week a man told a story of oxen trying to move a rock, just that non of the strongest teams could do it.  However when a weaker team, directed by an older man went to work they were able to move they rock.  Porque? porque the weaker team when non of the other achieved the task?  Because when the herd their owners voice they moved as a team, at the same time in the same direction.  The master had past he vision to them, and they had become tools in his hand accomplishing the work that needed to be done.  Many many things can be pulled out of this story- i hope you look for all of them
As my comp said this week, our desire to share in this work is truly a proof of the assurity that we have in our faith.  The Lord is coming and besides our own preparation, will we have contributed our all ion the preparation of others?  I know God lives and loves us, that Jesus Christ was His Son who died for us.  Thank them in all you do, for the things that they have already done for you,
And lastly............i don´t know if you mind but...Can i take a horn off that?

Well my comp enjoyed a good laugh in my face this week when i asked him what the  proper technique was for roll on deodorant.  Then continued to explain it as if i where uh....retarded.

But Hows Life Back Home?
Here this week i feel like i´ve practically never been in my area.  After doing interviews in two different area and giving 2 different trainings and then directing a conference we´ve been pretty book.  But some how we´ve still managed to through some work down and help the Lord´s lost sheep find their way home.
Yesterday i must say the spirit was more stronger than well then normal at least.  As me and my comp gave a training about testifying in every and at every possible moment.  Then i starting calling ppl to stand and just bear their testimonies of the church, the Spirit was undeniable.  I hope we made a deference for others there because i know it certainly did for me.
In other news the search continues to find a family this transfer, and last night (althouh there is no dad)  i think we came pretty closet o securing a golden one.  Integration tonight should help lift the spirit to that house in great ways.
  I´m so tired.

with the amount i laughing the street with my new comp, i tihnk i´ll make do.
E Da SIlva is the man (with a plan) and when we´re not laughing we´re getting
things done. I also think i´m in the most beautiful chapel that i´ve ever
been in. (excluding of course the gorgeous build of our X Bishop Nuckols.
That San Deigo Ward really knows whats up.)
I think the worst part about being in Sergipe though has already passed.
That being the fact that i had to return back to maceió for what's called the
Counsel in a tiny car with my comp and another dupla Friday. Talk about
5-6hr sardine car ride....I....can´t....breath! But upon geting there it
was great to final see Olson and Duerden and um monte de outra pessoal. It
also reestablished the fact in my head that the mission is kind of a boys
club. Needless to say it wasa blast and i learned a ton from our Assistants
and our Prez.
Then Carnival happened and once again the area i happened to be in is
apparently not fun around this time of year ,or in others words the place
VACATED! In between sucking on my thumb and kicking rocks however we managed
to talk to some of the flakiest ppl in my life. I think the worst excuse
ever was given when a lady told us we wouldn´t be able to enter into her
house because ther was a tiny monkey on her door. Which of course meant
living death upon anyone who dared enter lá.
Then at church there was almost noon cause everyone was on camp outs
avoiding carnival. End Result: I gave yet another talk in church and a man
that looked about 90 to me, passed the sacrament.
Interesting i halfta give a training tomorrow but that's far from my
biggest concern compared to the division i halfta do with the assistance
(also tomorrow) in an area i hardly know yet....there's a finger nail biter
for ya.
Regardless best of all are the miracles i have seen throughout the week
despite the madness.
The best happened this week in church: The story starts with a rapaz i
got to know named Gladston. He´s going to be baptized this 27th ], and
member reference that Duerden taught once and that me and my comp have
been teaching. He reads like ....like alot. And is very intellectual (a
little bit of a change for me, not gunna lie), however we´ve been a little
bit worried of were his testimony has been at as well as relationships with
other things after meeting his friends. All of this swiftly came to and end
however as this week in principles of the gospel the instructor asked
´´What is the hooly Ghost´´? Casually raising his hand (after giving a
sociable delay) Glaston began to tear up as he described the feeling he
gets everytime the missionaries leave his house after teach. That it was
something he wasn´t even planning on sharing with us until later but that
he just couldn´t restrain from sharing.
Truely this is the work of Christ. When we want an answer, when we ask
with real intent Heaven Father will let us know. But the key word is
real intent. We can´t ask looking for the answer we want. We must ask
have done our all to find AN answer and then let him tie the loose ends
together at his will, not ours. Things done always work out the way we
want the m to. But if we put all in the Lords hand, we can have a certainty
that things will work out in the way He wants them to. Could anything
possibly be better than that? We can´t see nearly into the future as he
can, but we are certainly invited to extend and exercise our faith as we
trust in Him.
I know he lives and hope to one day be able to say with even greater
assurety in the words of His Apostles that I know- as i know i live- that
He lives and loves us. I know we all have a long way to go, but i also know
that He has no intent to leave our side...
...so don´t leave His,

Well i have a fun hint for everyone: When washing clothes, always check
your pockets, even if you might be washing only one pair of pants, because
you never know when those pants could have a complete pack of gum inside
them waiting to disintegrate into a million sticky pieces!

Everyone Excited for the Olympics?
Quick Side Note: They came to wash out our water box this week which made
me pretty happy. Naturaly i some how ended up helping with this project even
the man was being payed for the service and after a good hour of draining the
box as much as possible i started my job of draing out the rest of the water
by hand as he pasted it to me in buckets from the ceilling. All the water he
pasted me was orange brown and not at all transparant because of wat i thought
must have been a cleaner that he´d added. However 5 miutes later when i
asked wat he was using to clean (product) he responded, ´´O no, this is just
the rest of the water that was left in your box, we half ta drain it frist´´
.....gross, have my showers even been worth it?
Man, i´ve seen random parts of Olympic coverage all throught the week and
then other Cup coverage and gz....i love sports and the feel of competition.
Unfortunatley this week at Entegration i couldn´t seem to keep my face
clean from being covered with flour after my comp continuously answering
question correctly for his team. I soon realised my love for competition
is very one sided- it only likes winning. Luckly i was one of the only ppl
out of two to correctly respond to the words we were given later on in a
spelling be (AND I`M NOT EVEN BRASY)
However the best win of all this week were our baptisms. The two of which
were excellent and incredible milagres. The first was just amazing that we
got the mom to let him get baptized and then his brother (who´s abotu to go
on a mission) baptised him. And the other, well to be honest i nevered had
that much faith in him through out the trasfer, but he sure pro]ved me wrong
going to church last sunday then being baptised and bearing his testimony in
church then recieveing the preisthood and lastly making sure to combine
everything perfectly for a week full of seminary with all the other rapazes.
Noosa cara foi xique de mais.
All these things have only built my testimony as i watch the Lord´s work
grow here trhroughout brasil. Now as i start another 6 weeks of my life i
hope to find more family´s, complete family´s to baptize. I guess it´s
important to note that i got transfered and now will be taking E Duerden´s
place here in Siqueira Campos, Sergipe. I got up yesterday at 5 am to get
on a bus in order to have a cmplete aftrernoon of work (and lunch) Then at
10:30 last night we had to go help the trainers and N uebies from the bus
station to their areas. I´m am super excited to see wat this transfers has
in store and know the Lord will always help us and provides a way.

Couldn´t the whole world just be brought to peace with a show down of Power
Ball sponsored by Hawkison and McGee? I feel like that would just bring
world peace in order.

How´s school started off? Here its just ended for everyone
THIS WEEK WAS PACKED. omGOSH, It all started with our integration night
where my comp and i a a rapaz from the ward put together a dance to the Loin
King (I just can´t wait to be king) I Sang and Dance and Pancaked and twisted
and Souted. It was basically awesome (the name of our group was Radical
Africa!) and soon after this Sister told me, ´´Gz i´m sure glad to know you
know all the words to the lion king, lol. Heck yeah i was a kid once!.....
might even still be
Nana would be more than happy to know that this week was full of Cinnomin
rolls! The inspiration started by a recipe for frosting Sis Beynon sent us
and the fact that we needed to return a pan to a member (and naturally you
can´t return things empty) but when the bakery wouldn´t sell us ready made
dough i knew it was time to pull out the scrape book. Turns out my Comp us
work in a bakery and so as i went measuring he went a kneading and tossing
and hand mixing the dough. they turned out so great that we decided to
double the batch and make them for our entire district today. 62 odd
cinnamon rolls later everyone was pretty satisfied.
Our baptism this week had his birthday last Saturday. I knew about it
but forgot about it in the moment we were talking to him until.....SLAM!
an egg drilled him right square in the head
´´Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Pra Béns!´´ (its tradition here to throw an egg
at the birthdayist)
Missionaries in our district will try to break a mission record this
baptizing a 90 year old lady.
I´ve been teaching English these past few weeks. I think the true joy
came when one of the alunos finally had an ´´AH-HA´´ moment, if you will .
(name that PNH teacher)
I feel as thought being a missionary has made me as swift as a coursing
river, yet tranquil as a forest with all the force of a great typhoon plus
all the strength of a raging fire within. SIgh..What can i say, I´m awesome
......and mulans been on repeat lately.
Gave one more talk in church this week and after a series of spontaneous
events i decided to disurse on paciência. It truned out to be just perfect
as the boy in front of me talked about the Love of Christ. I can´t say that
much of what i said was all that inspired but i certainly loved what the
apostles had to say about the subject. For example Elder Oaks, ´´The Book
of Mormon provides insight into the relationship between patience and
charity. Mormon, after pointing out that if a man “have not charity he
is nothing; wherefore he must needs have charity,” goes on to name the
13 elements of charity, or the pure love of Christ. I find it most
interesting that 4 of the 13 elements of this must-have virtue relate to
patience (see Moroni 7:44–45).

First, “charity suffereth long.” That is what patience is all about. Charity
“is not easily provoked” is another aspect of this quality, as is charity
“beareth all things.” And finally, charity “endureth all things” is certainly
an expression of patience (Moroni 7:45). From these defining elements it is
evident that without patience gracing our soul, we would be seriously
lacking with respect to a Christlike character.

all this can be related to the why we need patience in Mos. 23:21-2 and
Eter 12:6. then President Monson talks about how life has unending problems
and for this we need to have unending faith (PMG). Naturally that's why it
is a Christ like attribute and becomes crucial in our search to become more
like him. President Uchtdorf gives an example of the opposite side of things
when a friend of his asks for advice to strengthen his caiing testimony.
After send a list of things to observe and try President was surprise to
quickly receive a return letter.
´´I tried wat you said. It didn´t work. What else do you have?´´
Truly none of these things come instantly. Eternal life is not by any means
an over night matter. As we say in portugues it's by the littles that we
achieve these things- rather than in the snap of a finger.
Christ was truly the gave the greatest example as he payed for each one
of our sins and then soon after hung on the cross saying ´´Forgive them
father, for they know not wat they do.´´ How many of us have such patience
or demonstrate even an ounce of such patience in the most stressful parts of
our day.
Stop, breath, thing potentially and Longmindedly. The Lord does not ask
for much, just keep the commandments he has given (Mos 2:22). When we have
such patience i promise that we will gain not only more control of the
situation but of our selves as well.
I know this church is true. And more than that i have testified of the
spirit it brings.

PS, its funny how my comp seems to be slightly offended or taken back ever
sense my talk lol.

Yep,i´mpretty really tired! This will havn´t be fast, we have an integration
activity to finish putting together for tonight and then one more for tomorrow
night in a different ala.

Everyone else getting proper sleep and rest?
Well lets just skip to it... I had a super horrible long weekend this week.
Broke and Iron, Lost a cell phone, wedding fell threw in the district and my
baptism went on a trip.....uhg.
Break the iron was actually pretty funny just because my comp is a little
metro and when he realized that a broken iron meant he prolly wouldn´t be able
to iron his shirts for an hour as usual he almost flipped. I told him he
could always just heat up a pan on the stove.....apparently that jokes not as
funny as i thought.
But i was quick to forget about anything sad bad or upsetting that happened
when all ppl we went to take to church were ready and waiting for us on their
door step! On even took her friend! Such a great ending to a terrible week
was only made better by an ever classic interview with Prez.
I truly love Elder Eyrings words in the conference talks when he talks about
kids know that becoming like Christ is commandment! I too know that all of us
can be made perfect in his light. I know that this gospel changes lives.
Visiting my recent converts today with my son i could not begin to describe
my joy. The spirit of the Lord brighten eyes and minds and so much more.
Always strive to do your best!

Sooo....uhhh....i´uhh i think the monotony of the mission may have gotten to
me for a few seconds this week. But i´m also not quite sure creating a bug
spray fire was the best way to forget about it, lol. Actually in all honesty
the whole thing was my comps fault (naturally) Cause it al started when he
found 3 full bottles of the stuff in our house....then things slowly got out
of had until we realize that below in the street everyone had stopped and was
looking up at our house- which just happened to be puring out smoke...oops.
But luckily the only thing that got burned other than the spray was a palm
sized piece of card board. No harm No foul

Everyone else good?
In speaking of burned i got a little sun in the all day VolleyBall
tournament i organized in a 4 zone ´´win it or lose it´´ nMaceió JamFest!?
(yeah how about that for a title) Unfortunately we got a little split as
paint ball fell on the same day and some people are allergic to light rain
showers. But for those that went it was a blast, and me and e Silva are a
solid team. However as great as it was nothing topped off the ending of
Silva going to wash his feet in the sink when all of a sudden the entire
ceramic basin fell throw the counter top as he placed his foot on it...just
his luck. Another missionary came running to the seen going, ´´Typical
E Silva, the only elder in charge of all house and furniture on the mission,
is breaking things!´´
Remember that crazy scrabble phase me and trav went threw right before
i left? Gz Scrabble Worlds Series...who watches that?
In other board game news- Its official- I´m pretty much really good at
War (that's risk in America)
Man, i felt broken this week after placing tile in a members house. But
it was a great time. i truly think service is one of the greatest was to
get to know ppl, which just so happens to be important as a missionary-
especially when you and your comp get in the area together. The entire
project to a while but the end reasult will be great. I think we´re gunna
go back to finish so time this week.
Now, are we ready for 2 crazy tracting stories from this week? The first
came went we went to watch Finding Faith in Christ at a Lady´s house. As
we pulled out the film she goes ´´Ohh i´ve already seen this´´ What? like
as in with other missionaries?
-´´No i rented it at the movie place a few months ago´´ (funny than
this is the fact that you can by a pirated version in the Center if you
want assuming a Free Original copy doesn´t fit your taste)
But nothing shocked me as much as yesterday. In our district this
transfer we´ve been doing this fun thing were all the missionaries go to
won area and basically destroy it and then to they others doing the same.
So yesterday i was in another area with E Farmer (has about the same time
as me and together we D-stroy!) Well as we´re talking to this lady through
her window and realize things are going anywhere he starts to wrap it up
as i unfortunately drift off. There was a nice rainbow going on (i´ve been
getting entirely to much rain). then i figured i should toon back in and
as i did i got immediately distracted again be a map on the lady´s wall.
It was a map of maceió. then i took a closer look and it was really just
a map of all the areas near mine. Then! i took an even closer look and
read the title (which was in ingles) ´´Brasil Maceió Litoral Stake´´ n
Looking down at the corner there was a pass-along card. What? Figure
that out? i tapped elder farmer and was like...Woah check that out....
different. (The lady when asked had no family church members nor friends
that she new of....NOR friends of friends...)
Anyways the moral of the story is that i love talking to everyone i get
the chance to. I also like talking in church, even when i´m asked to talk
1 1/2 minutes before it starts- as was the case this past Sunday. But some
house i still managed to talk long enough that i actually got tapped out.
Wrapping it after having gone threw most of my favorite scriptures and
such i bore my testimony that i know those members who give there all in
missionary work truly will be blessed. After that i had to give my training
in district meeting were i talked about faith. But i decided to take it
from a different side, seeing as how we all know faith. I wanted to truly
show the importance of help others recognize there faith threw ares. As is
written in Romans 10:14-19 truly as missionaries we have a special calling
and a privilege of arousing the spirit and faith of others threw letting
them here the Gospel.
I bear my testimony that filling by such faith will always be living
without regrets.

Well myldsmail hasn´t been working for the past......well at least an hour!
aka Super frustrating, ugh i´m telling ya man, DÓN`T MESS WITH ME, I Get Road
Rage as a Padestrian!!!

<sigh> Braeth in Breath Out,
Found out at the end of last week that my recent converts bore their
testimonies in church, pretty exciting moment! But man that feels like
forever ago. Another thing that happened this week was find out that water
enters and pretty much fills our house ever time it rains. Pretty unfortunate
too because we were sleeping on bent frames, the mattresses were just on the
ground....so , when the water entered they got our cushions all wet. However
they seemed dry enough to sleep on so we went for it. The next day was a
division and we spent the entire day out of our area. Wow...when we got
home the house smelt so horrible from rotten collision i could hardly breathe.
But i figured enduring it was better than sleep on the floor. Logo the next
day we called the secretaries and got new ones fast, thank goodness.
Have i mentioned my area sits right on the lake? Super trunky. And this
morning i sal lane lines for the first time in a year sitting in a pool
waiting to be used....uhg, but its all good. There's plenty of time when i
get home i keep telling myself.
Anyways i wrote down alot of other super random stuff for this week but i
think the winner happened yesterday when i did a division in another area and
worked with a member-a returned mission area from Porta Alegre do Sul, mission
sound fimiliar? Heck Yeah! He knew cole...i mean, Elder Yancey and it was
way cool to talk to him- pois sounds like our missions are a little bit super
different.
Saturday marked one of my favorite baptisms i´ve já fized. I couldn´t
even believe how well the entire thing went off without a hitch, there as
member attendance, friends, fotos, cake, someone to direct and even fill all
the rest of the roles of a baptism. I feel like i ended up with about a
thousand fotos of it too which is great. The smile of Betovan and Mateus
we´re remarkable as they came out of the water and the ward involvement
really topped it off.
Well i´d better rap this up, but just real quick i halfta say Prosser has
been running through my head all week, ´´Leave all in the pool´´ This quote
has not left my head at all. This week in district meeting the entire though
was just backed up by a anti-trunky hand out that had quotes from Elder
Holland. One says if you can´t do this work for the Lord for 2 years your
not fit to do anything, lol. So its time to leave in all in Maceió, and
work without looking back- w/o regrets! As we know, nothing is impossible
for Deus

Estabeleceno a Estandarte de Mirante

1/6/2010
This could be one of these most worst things that's already happened to me
in life: Somewhere around new years eve at another missionary's house i
was rushing to get out the door. In the hurry i figured i should try and
manage to at least brush my teeth. As i went to barrow another elders tooth
paste, running in the bathroom nd then out (trying to do 10,000 things at
once) i quickly found my self running back into the bathroom to spit out
the shaving cream that i had just accidentally attempted to use as toothpaste
....YUCK, gross

You Guys been brushing your teeth?
These weeks have been crazy with all the hustle and bustle. Sorry i took
a little break last week. Figured i could sense i talked to the fam on the
phone.  But let me fill you in on whats happened sense;
Cristina was married to Aldo and we baptized the entire family in one giant
spiritual event. I tihnk it was the most happiest day yet of my mission,
as well as the most stressful! First of all one of the kids took all day
to show up (as he was coming from anther part of town), the members were
ansie and anxious the entire time, Cristina tok forever getting her cake
and getting dressed, and every interview felt like it took about an hour!
But the end result was miraculas, nothing described the sight of a family
heading in the direction of eternity except for tears of joy and heart felt
smiles :-)
That's been over a week ago now and sense then i[´ve been transferred to
the ala mirante. Prolly the only ala in the world to not a have a bishop....
for 2 years running. Yep, you´d thing it was impossible but here in Brasil
we like to go against all odds. regardless tho things seem to be running
along great (elder reis was one f the last elder in this area, tá explicado)
We quickly got to know everyone (me nd my comp got in the area together)
last Thursday night at a ward activity- Volleyball! Instead of a soccer
quart this ward has a sand volley ball pit, its pretty much pure awesomeness.
However i think the coolest thing that's happened sense we´ve been here
is this rapaz we ran into that already has had all the missionary lessons
and everything, butr has never wanted or accepted baptism. Sitting down
and talking to him he started to go into details of missionaries never
truly listening to him. Its amazing how important it is to truly hear
some one out and not just hear wat you want to hear. Still at the end of
the lesson he told us tht his answer to our baptismal invite would wait
until domingo. Sitting there at church Sunday i didn´t even half ta bring
it up. In fact al i said was how are you, until he quickly responded fine
and then lowering his head and speaking in the humblest words i´ve ever
heard said, ´´ and about the baptism, yes, i really do want to baptise
myself´´. The funny part came latter when tonight (and the reason for
why i´m writing so late) he was so excited to se batizar that he confused
the appointment we marked with him for his baptism nd had invited everyone
to the church tonight to watch this baptism. Sometime this afternoon that
resulted in an worried fone call from an irma who wasn´t sure what to do
with the ppl showing up for the baptism during the middle of a primary
activity. Luckily we were ble to quickly run down o the church and take
care of things :-) (because we´re awesome)
Its truely moving to see others be moved by the spirit. This week while
teaching with another elder he ended our lesson buy burying testimony as
´´a special representative of Christ´´. Those words really hit me hard.
I have such little time left as such special representative, and i cannot
even tell you how much that means to me in so many ways. Bt one for sure-
i´m going to take all the advantage of it that i can, because i know this
Gospel is true!
