Ok sorry this might be short for 2 reasons, a i forgot my little , ok no i
didn´t have a chance to pick up my little planer with everything i was gunna
write about this week and b.... i smell so horrible i´m not sure how much
longer i´ll be able to sit in my own filth (´´you smell like rotten milk´´
´´No i DON`T!´´ -name that) Today has been one of this awesomest days every and of course this week has
been jam packed. But then again i feel like i say that every week so that
must be hypocritical at some point... o well i´m a hipo then, ta bom. We had
a multi zone activity at some members home who has (ready for this?) a pool
(worthless and cruel) a sand volley ball court and a grass (did you hear me,
GRASS) soccer field, and in one. One house, 3 awesome activities (similar
to a 4 berry pie i once heard of -dad shout out) Naturually my companion
had us there an hour and a half early but luckly there were some americans
with a football, not futebol, so we played that for a while. THen the when
enough peple showed up, or enough brazies were there to kick the americans
out, futebol conensed. I got our CTM district together and we made an all
american 37-B team wiht the adittion of Kartchner. Our team rocked! they
scored on us early on before we hit our stride but we returned the point
and battled it out for an eternity before they scored again. Week came super
close to winning during a game later on, quase. Then i ate enough to make
me feel sick and our little ctm cliq explained new portguese we´ve learned
to eachother at our table, seeing as how we couldn´t move being full up soda
burgers sausages little wierd ice cream packets and chocolate. As you can
see i´m really suffering. The taxi ride back was something new. We were
out of our zone in a richer area (obviously) and instead of taking the road
our driver took a short cut through what woulda been the equivalent of a
corn field in the states, ecpet with huge ruts. We hit one rut the must
of had a high rock jutting out somewhere cause i could feel it scrape the
entire underbody of the car as our driver gave the car more gas and i could
feel the point of the rock pass under my feet. i think ashley p would cried. The week started in a similar fashion as we had our christmas party. It
was pretty exciting cause we got to see E Clark from the intirior. We all
reminised and laughed at eachother in all of our skits (of which elder clark
took about 50 pictures of mine) Also there was a ´´guess how many candys are
in this jar table´´ set up with tipo 13 jar of various edibles. Of course i
guessed one just about correct at 97 wqhen it was 98, but naturaully there
were two others who guessed 99. I´m not sure you can go or in guessing but
maybe thats jut an american rule. Anyhow i called for a round of R.P.S. (duh)
But instead the president said he had a number in his head. So the other
to guess 18 and 12 (it was from 1-20) Out loud i was like ´´Are you two
kidding me? how hard could this be...? 8!´´ Yeah, don´t worry, i won the
jar of jelly beans. ´´MY PANTS ARE ON SIDEWAYZ, AHHH!´´ (that a shout out to Bret Knight
and the rest of PNH h2oPOlO) I´m trying to remember what other fun things happened this week... Oh, i
walked down the craziest set of stairs i have every seen in my life. It was
a mix of concrete dirt rock wood planks and none of it was consistant. Então
some of the steps were much further of a drop than the previous and vis versa,
and all of it was in the pitch black pretty much. So consiquiencely (how do
you spell that?) i half knock the wind out of my self, like a side/hip knock
the wind out kinda thing, about 3 or 4 times on my way down as i miss judged
numerous steps. I had to favorite moments this week...maybe 3. I guess the maybe 3 would
be last night when i suprised myself with the portuguese i knew in teaching
the word of wisdom all by myself and sharing a thought that was longer than
2 sentences to the people we´re baptising this saturday (which is my christmas
present btw) One of the others was the spiritual experince we got to share as 2 of
our investigators cam e to one of kartchner´s baptisms last week. This was
an idea my companion had had, to invite them, and i wasn´t sure if they
would come even though we reminded them earlier that day. Well they both
showed up. It was excellent. And both of them agreed it was ´´Bemm tranquilo´´
as my companion always said. I think seeing an actually baptism does alot in
the way of easy anciety or anticipation (are either of those the write word?
<family edit>) Then Sunday i had another shock when once again people i never expected to
come to church met us half way (WE DIDN`T EVEN HALF WaLK ALL THE WAY DOWN
THEIR HUGE STAIRS) it was amazing, and we´ve been able to teach them sense
then. It really goes to show that you shouldn´t ever pass judgment on
someone, something i´m working on of course. Not that i ever thought they
were bad people, you know? Sabe? Então thats going great. O wow almost forgot we had a 70 come visit us this week, lol, thats kinda
important. Elder Soaries came to our mission an talked about mainly 2 things.
Obedience and Planning. Luckly as a new missionary i don´t have much trouble
with the first one and hope to keep it that wa always, just as i was encouraged
to do. He second one had been hard for me because my companion is so
self-sufficent and its so easy to just follow him around but i´m getting better
at having a general idea of whats going on and planning and setting goals with
him at night. O thats another thing, have goals! Interesting, sense i´ve
been here i´ve mae goals for the week and for the rest of my life. I´ve gotta
say its an much better way to keep track of progress when you actually write
on paper exactly what your striving for. Sorry i wish i had more to say but this internet use kinda caught me off
guard as we just walked in here right after our activity. I hope everyone is able to here the history of the candy cane from my family
as we remember the birth of Cristo this year. Its an excellent time to remember
all He did during his ministry on earth and the fact that He atoned for all our
sins as we start a new year full of resolutions and such. I think this year
my general theme is going to be centered around Ether 12:4 a scripture i´ve
come to love sense being here. Well i love all of you. Happy Holidays. Remember to pray always and ven
when y our not to keep Cristo in your thoughts. (Alma 37:26...27...maybe?)
